Established in the 1930's, the Trenary Home Bakery was in the Hallinen family through three generations, spanning more than 60 years. With a new owner as of January 1, 2011, we continue to carry on the Old World Tradition of scratch baking the finest breads, and our famous Trenary Toast.
Our toast is made from a sweet white bread, baked fresh daily. To create our cinnamon toast, we paint the bread with a wash and hand coat each piece with a tantalizing cinnamon and sugar mixture. It is then baked again to acheive that delicious crispy crunch for dunking into your favorite beverage.
We deliver our Specialty breads and Trenary Toast to retailers throughout the Central and Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We also enjoy shipping our Toasts to retailers in Lower Michigan and to families in every State in the Union. Our Trenary Toast Café is also a great place to relax, have a cup of coffee and enjoy our hand crafted bakery where you can view historic relics from the bakery’s past and also purchase fun keepsakes from the U.P. right here in our store.
